Review of Ibram X. Kendi’s How to be an Antiracist by Amiel Handelsman

I was a co-speaker with Amiel at an online Conference (not that we’ve met, but we exchanged emails after). He’s brilliant at being a Radical Moderate in the Culture Wars. Here Amiel provides a very intelligent, sensitive review of Ibram X. Kendi’s How to be an Antiracist.

Read the review and see the weaknesses as well as the contributions of Kendi’s book.

Amiel’s conclusion? A dozen pinches of salt and there’s some value in some ideas, but not to be taken literally or as binary, eg a rejection of “If you’re not an antiracist, you’re a racist”.
